Ingrid Hertfelder.

Photographer at the campus. Her practice moves between photography and conceptual spatial thinking, revolving around an expanded understanding of landscape: not as geographic territory, but as a perceptual condition. A fragment, a surface, a portrait can become landscape.

Music informs her visual language structurally. Rhythm, pause and resonance function as compositional principles. Her images do not narrate, they observe.

After artistic studies in Munich, London, New York, Savannah, New Orleans and Los Angeles, she lived and worked in the United States for eleven years before returning to Germany. Her works have been exhibited internationally and are included in public and private collections. She is a member of BFF Germany and an appointed member of the Art Directors Club.
